Cancer has been a recurring theme in my life for as long as I can remember.

And it's the reason Comfort Kit Concierge exists not as a business, but as a promise.

Age 7

The first seizure

At just 7 years old my Dad had his first seizure. More than 40 years later I remember that day like it was yesterday. He suffered for close to 10 more years with cancer, in and out of chemo and surgeries, and I learned at a very early age how cancer affects more than just the person going through it.

Age 16

A world shattered

Just days before my 17th birthday my Dad passed away and my world was shattered. I never got to experience having him walk me down the aisle, a daddy-daughter dance, or seeing him hold his grandchildren.

The years that followed

Throughout my life I have watched cousins, my nephew, my Mom Tish, my mother-in-law Peggy, and dear friends walk their own cancer journeys, some successful and others not so lucky. Each one shaped me. Each one fueled this mission.

The turning point

Comfort Kit Concierge is born

After my Mom's breast cancer diagnosis I began gifting chemo comfort kits to strangers. That work grew into the start of Comfort Kit Concierge. But the more families I served the more I recognized the same urgent need. Newly diagnosed families didn't just need comfort items. They needed someone to help them navigate the overwhelming chaos of a diagnosis by walking alongside them and taking things off of their plates. That person didn't exist for my family when we needed them most. I'm making sure they exist for yours.
