ABOUT US

Cancer has been a recurring theme in my life as long as I can remember. At just 7 years old, my dad, had his first seizure. More than 40 years later, I remember that day like it was yesterday. My dad suffered for close to 10 more years with cancer, in and out of chemo and surgeries and I learned at a very early age how cancer affects more than just the person going through it. Just days before my 17th birthday, my dad passed away from cancer and my world was shattered. I never got to experience having my dad walk me down the aisle, a daddy/daughter dance, or seeing him hold his grandkids.

You can say this is where the passion started for helping those going through a cancer diagnosis. I could physically feel their pain, and all you want to do is provide comfort to people during that time. As I grew up, I witnessed other family and friends affected by cancer including my mother-in-law, Peggy, as she was diagnosed with brain, lung, spine and numerous other cancers in May of 2000. She lost her battle with cancer in July of 2000.

Throughout my life, I’ve witnessed cousins, my nephew, my mom, Tish, and my friends walk their own journey with cancer, some successful and others not so lucky. After my mom’s breast cancer diagnosis, I started gifting chemo comfort kits to strangers. My heart is truly happiest when I can help lessen the burden for people diagnosed with cancer and gift items they don’t know they need as they walk this new journey. These comfort kits are a way to honor my loved ones who have walked this journey and inspire a little bit of hope to others as they fight their battle. Thanking you for supporting this journey of helping others with me and lifting them up in their darkest hours.
